19th Week (26th October 2011)

After mid sem break... everything just happen so coincidence.. my laptop got stolen and I'm unable to get my things done.. the worst there's the backup of the whole assessment.. so i have to start from a scratch....

It was the worst day i ever had but still there's nothing i can do about it but to quickly start back all the stuff that i've lost and pickup the pace and race for the time...

Meet with lecturer and request for an extension due date for the report writing and hopefully i get the approval of it...It's really a sad thing but then we had to keep move on after we fall down..

What's lucky about it is that at least i had some rough idea on what i had done so it should be no problem of getting the information and the writing out the report again but with more and more obstacles ahead, I gotta get all the information and research the needs of getting this project done... it's going to be difficult for me but i gotta break out the sweat and non-stopping moving and moving... even my supervisor told me it's like if i'm going to make it... i gotta start my speed off at 300km/h or maybe above...

From all the information gather.. i still see there's a possible for the converging and diverging to work.... by using the nozzle will increase the air flow as the flow will be in isentropic and velocity will be the same as the speed will gradually increase after a degree of negative pressure in the back pressure... However, I gotta get more information on it which I've left out... It's a big topic and covers almost damn lot of stuff.. With limited time and wide stuff for me to grab on.... I gotta say i will get it done...

18th Week (28 September 2011)

Today meet up with supervisor to get our contract sign.... but too bad my groupmate again didn't come and absent.. but still i get a sign from our supervisor and after that well i still feel that he is kinda rejecting the project we done.. cause it won't work..but anyway i'm going to try and work things out.. maybe i will try to do the project in a way where proving that this project it's not going to made it with the calculation and stuff altogether...

Although i heard that the other lecturer says that it will work and he kinda like did it before in another way... but still gotta find the root and find out myself if it's going to work with the converging diverging together with the isentropic flow.... for now what i 've research.. it seems that it still will work.. but with rejection from supervisor makes me wanna find out the source of the unsuccessful of this idea and project....

17th Week (21 September 2011)

Saw my groupmate yesterday and it seems that he also working on to the 3D visualize by using the Solid works software... we discuss a bit on the diameter and and length of the pipe that we going to design...

Found some information the venturi effect also create a flow call isentropic flow....where the velocity of the flow of air stream is approaching to the speed of the sound then both side of the flow will be constant and having the same flow.. which mean there will be no increasing in flow rate from either both side...

so this might be the reason why our supervisor reject our idea from the start.... but still there will be an increasement and from the isentropic flow.. it maintain on the same air flow and doesn't mention of decrease... so it still will works for the acceleration from the start...

Anyway.. going to do more research and see if what's more reason behind the rejection of our supervisor...

Week 16th (14 September)

Today my groupmate absent again and i can't even contact him... anyway it's really hard that doing things in group where your groupmate going to absent and doing nothing and which you don't even know what the other party are really doing on the other side.... It's an advantage if the groupmate happens to be a helpful and attend every meeting.. but it could bring on the other side of bad effect...

anyhow.. today i got a paper where we need to let the lecturer to sign every time when we meet up with our supervisor.... so finally feel like at least there are some progress... although i know that we won't be doing a very good and perfect job... just at least having the motivation to move on in the project really going to help much...

After that i continue to do some research on the converging and diverging... i know it's not going to work but what else i can think of... just to try and prove that the thing is not going to work and why it doesn't... having advise from supervisor will be a bit hard cause it's definately not going to work... and well.. i gotta know why... doing research is going to be a lot of work.. but still have to work out and get things done out... 

Week 15th (7 September 2011)

Another new day and the date line is closing in.... We consult with our lecturer and we get to know a software call Solidworks... this software is going to help in visualise the project that we going to make up... it's in 3D and also after done the drawing of the works it can then convert into movie file which can play as a movie...

The animated flowing of the air stream can also be done but that's going to get sometime cause we are new dummies to this software and there's a lot of stuff that we gotta learn and how to draw...

First time using Solid works really a big challenge; just like a baby start walking.... Gotta practise more and more to get use to the software.... Luckily my groupmate is around and also we learn it together at the computer lab at the automotive building.... 

Solid works really create an amazing artwork of anything that you wanted to create and really it's amazing if you do know how to use it though... newbie like me going to have a hard time getting a shape out of it... even the tutorial doesn't really help much but just hoping that we can get some helps from lecturer or friends.....

Week 14th (31 august 2011)

Last week make appointment with lecturer so that we can meet him and get our things to be done and approve... went to the classroom and we start to meet the lecturer and we explain to the lecturer of our findings... well he say that if we wanna carry on it ... yes we can try to do it... What he thinks is that it's not going to work but anyway we still wanna get our things done at least had a topic so that we will be able to catch up with all the things that have been left out...

Report needed to be submit on early november and we like left 1 month ++ to go.. it's not going to make it but at least we did something although is not perfect but just hope that it will move on...
Finally we are on the track and getting the things to move on and on... what will we have to do next is what we gonna think and all.. actually i was kinda worry on the research that we going to do... i'm not quite sure how the report it is to be done and all... what what should i find and how we going to do on this report...

Anyway at least now you had something up we... it's the start of research time!!!

Week 13th (24th August 2011)

This week another New week.... I was kinda fed up on finding new idea... so for the last week i was try to research more on the converging and diverging system... and it seems that to what i know it might had work but maybe it's not really going to be  perfect one...

Ask lecturer and lecturer tell me the project if we insist on it.. then we can still do it.. either it's fail or success at least we learn something... He told us project technology is actually looking at the learning curve instead of success of the project itself... the high the learning curve... the even better we will achieve in this course....

Either it's success or fail.. we learn from it.. To me it's really a good thing.. we do research and we get the result and to see if we learn the success or the mistake or failure from what we had did...

For the converging and diverging... from what i've learn is that it will increase the flow of the air intake but up to a limit and it will just stable which mean by 'choke' instead of dropping... it might helps in low engine speed or idling... as for high speed to what i think it might just stable and still had a stable intake of air which will not reduce the performance or the flow of the air...

Too bad the supervisor lecturer that we plan to meet it's not around for the week.. so had to make another appointment with him and get approval so that we really can move on with the idea and project~~~~

Week 12th (17 August 2011)

Make appointment with lecturer and turns out that he told me that it won't be good enough as it doesn't really make things work out as goes with the converging and diverging concept.... I did some research on the net as suggested by the lecturer and came upon an article on the net which shows that it does going to happen a 'choke' situation where it will just stops increasing the air flow through the venturi system...

From what i heard from him it seems that our idea is going to be reject again... at the meantime i contact my groupmate about what the lecturer say and we might really actually need to come up with another new idea once again... maybe we would try to appeal again with the two intake passage where one of it will be using intercooler...

Getting ideas approve by the lecturer is not easy... but that's the starting point of all.. once the idea being approve.. the progress could be done right away.... THis course to me who is not really creative is really challenging.... Back at my country we were mostly having spoon feeding education which makes it hard one i reach to a new country like New Zealand...

It's really going to be challenging for my mind to had to really think and make things out from what I had in my mind.... Creative... Innovative.... CHallenge Everything.....

11th Week (10 August 2011)

From last week the lecturer gave us a good idea... next idea would be having one intake pipe.. instead of making it into two.. we try to make it to have an venturi effect from small pipe into venturi area and comes out to a bigger pipe which will increase the flow of the air intake into the engine and thus increase the flow of the air into the engine...

Lecturer told us that it would be hard as there are alot of research and tons of research to prove the thing works... but anyhow.. since now we dun really have an idea going on.. so we gotta try to find out more on it and get more information to prove that we going to make this thing going to work... this week we got another aim and we going to head for that and work things out...

Getting more and more idea in our mind it's really crack and crack even further.. although we really din start anything yet... but we going to get things done... i was planning at the end of the semester.. even if we din come up with anything that is solid but at least we did something and really hope that lecturer going to at least give some pass grade for me....

FOund out that the projct we going to head for it isn't really that easy and have a lot of calculation involve and also terms and theory behind this small venturi effect... it won't be easy but hopefully let's get approval~~~

10th week (3rd August 2011)

Today open my blog and realise~~~~ OUT OF SUDDEN MY BLOG'S GONE..... i try to restore back my computer system but still everythings is the same... I don't know what's happen all of sudden.. or is it i accidentally delete the blog while creating another blog for the other subject? I have to write all over again and recall back what's i really have been done all this while.... It was really depressing... really depressing but still we have to get things done...

Anyway today we came up with another new idea where we increase the volumetric efficiency of the intake air into the engine by having another new passage of intake into the engine and use a intercooler to cool down the air moving into the engine....

At first thought i was really not a bad idea but lecturer gave us an idea that it won't change much on the performance or any changes and it might not working properly.... From what i heard it was really a bad day... the idea again not so approve by the lecturer and we gotta get things done straight and came up with new idea... but it's good that we get some advise from the lecturer and having a new idea to move on..

Consulting with the lecturer really helps alot in coming up some new ideas... it was really a good thing that we able to meet the lecturer and at least it helps on brainstorming the idea in our mind.... we might having difficulties thinking and thinking but with a little helps it really does helps alot...

Well.. going to came up with new idea and really carry on with the idea~~~

Week 9 (27th July 2011)

New semester start off... before the last semester end we appeal to the lecturer about our whole project on the auto braking while reversing... which included alot of wiring diagram and complication of connection between the components and function which the lecturer might scare that we won't be able to get it done...

so the idea got rejected and we had to come up with some new idea... new semester start and everything back to zero and i was thinking that can we really made up to the due date for all of it.. will have to really depend on what my groupamte goung to do and everything...

Today go meet up with lecturer and he told me that if my groupmate aren't really show up then i had to do it all aloone... so i guess that's the only thing that i able to do it when it comes to the worst..... Today start of new semester and everything really need to rush and rush... what should really be done when i really cant make it to the due date? will i fail again? question and question floating around my head.. hmm....

week 8 (22th June 2011)

Today a lot of groups come and present their project.... Some of my course mate say that it doesn't have the marks for the presentation and it's just a presentation for the progress of the project of each group de lea... after this presentation there will be no more class as the break is going to start soon.. and it will be the end of the 1st semester and continue on the 2nd semester on august....

Saw some presentation of the groups and feel that they really start some progress and start to move forward to their project.. where our group still stay still at where it is... 0 progression... cause still pending on the idea to be get approve by the lecturer and get our form and contract sign... it seems that the time to use for this contract to be sign has been so long...

so after today presentation the break starts and we gotta get moving on to the 2nd semester!!!
happy holiday~~~~ or not .... haha... have to get it approve before this semester really starts...

Week 7 (15th June 2011)

Oh.. next week is going to be the presentation before the break starts... Our group still got nothing.. so I wander what should we really present about and really there is nothing to present... nothing at all... the deadline is closer and closer... is getting my heartbeat racing up to 300km/h....

BUt anyway... today again i try to contact my groupmate but still no news from them... it's too bad that one of my groupmate got his house break in by some jerk stole his laptop and his mobile phone... right now I am still wandering how am i going to contact him... the most is sending him email and hopefully he got the email when going elsewhere to online or use computers....

It's really sucks that everything bad happening but stilolo we gotta overcome it... what can we really do when we are met misfortune...

But anyway... I today try to crack my head on some new idea as the idea about the reverse sensor and auto braking had to wait until my groupmate came all together so we can get the idea being approve... In the meantime i thought of an idea on installing alternator on to the road wheel in an EV... so that the alternator will not be a parasite of the engine that using the drive belt.... THe alternator will install at the free wheel which does not driver by the drive shaft...

With just a brain working really it's way much hard.... right now i just hope that my groupmate will be able to contact with me and together get things done...

Week 6 (8th June 2011)

It seems that I'm left behind because I didn't really check on to the technology project blog to see what is really updating as I feel weird whenever i check moodle and there is nothing new came up... Just then i realise for technology project doesn't use moodle instead. Once i check the blog just realise there is ton's of stuff in it.... I miss out the presentation call prezi as i think i'm not really paying attention to the class when the lecturer is going on introducing it...

but anyhow i manage to get an account and learn some of the presentation on how they really did it..... still there are alot of question and kinda confusing but still i think if i keep on using it... it may somehow came out to be handy after i get hold on how to use the software....

We had improve the idea by using an additional auto braking function to the system... about 2 to 3 meters behind, the reverse sensor will release the beeping sound and the brake is then being pressurize for a hard braking when the object has reach a meter behind the vehicle....

Applying auto braking on to the system might be bit challenging but somehow we had to came up with the idea before we really can continue and see if we will be able to move on and start our project.....

Week 5 (1st June 2011)

Today after i came to the lecture hall.. i was waiting and waiting for my groupmate to come.. but in the end none show up at the end.. so i gotta think and think of all the ideas opn improving our project and also either came up with a good idea that would get accepted by the lecturer..

My absent of the groupmate makes me feel a little frustration as we already behind schedule but then i feel like not 100% of effort is put into our project... what should I do? I can't contact them and it's really hard to communicate with them even through email... there were no reply for quite a time... all i pray was they come to the class and at least we meet up and can discuss with the project...

It seems like I am the only person that would worry about the project and all.. What should I really do if they continue to ignore of it?

I heard that I have to work in a group and also iI am really sucks in doing the mind cracking stuff alone as I seldom really take part in those Mind Cracking Activities or creativity of activities.... HOping that i still be able to come up with something that can be progress on.... hmmm...

Week 4 (25th May)

THis morning i was waiting and waiting for my team member to come but it seems that they are late... so i appeal the project and idea we've came up to the lecturer and hope to get the approval of it....

To my dismay, the lecturer didn't approve our project and idea cause according to the lecturer it's too simple cause to control the cut off of the signal from acceleration pedal to the throttle body we just design only a switch to control the voltage sending from ECU to the throttle body. It seems that the project have to be difficult and innovative in order to get the project done.

After my groupmate came, we discuss at the library and have to think of ways to improve the lack of the idea and project we had thought of.... Improvement had to be done... Adding an auto stopping function to the vehicle might make it more complicated and difficult and it's really going to be harder as we had to involve more braking component and also the project might get hard for us to do... but anyhow we had to try again to meet lecturer until we really get approval and get on with the project...

3rd Week (18th May)

This week.. we finally came up with an thorough idea on the reverse stop... we did use up alot of time to just think the way it should be done... maybe there is really a way to think all these problems..
Anyhow for the project we come out, the vehicle must equipped with drive by wire system while using the reverse sensor as the main detection of the objects behind. We would try to programme the ECU to cut off the signal from the acceleration pedal to the throttle body in order to avoid the vehicle to accelerate more and crash to the object behind the vehicle...

We had been thought of the idea and hoping to get the approval from our supervisor..... so we now had to get appointment with the lecturer and get it approve and started to move on with our project... Really hope things goes really well for the progress... what should i do if it's fail? i wander what i really can do since i left behind so much... can i finish the project in time?

2nd Week (11th May 2011)

THis week me and the groupmates keep on cracking our head with all the ideas and stuff but it seems that the ideas that we coming out still get restricted... I was wandering what i really did miss out for the last half of semester cause would it be any guidance from the lecturer about critical thinking? But anyway we've come up with ideas of "acceleration cut off during reversing of the vehicle"...

It's really been hard thinking of other ideas as we thought mostly is already been on the market.. but anyhow we still going to appeal to our supervisor and hopefully we can get approval of the project and get on with what I have left behind de le...

1st Week (4th May 2011)

Today I get together in a group with 2 other people and since we are the late comers as that I had been place to the wrong class for the last half a semester, now we had start to brain storming with ideas and ideas to come out with the project that we are left behind of it... We came up with alot of ideas but unfortunately those ideas either is exist on current technology or it's been done by other groups...
THe first day we keep brain storming with ideas but yet to come up with a good and approve ideas as the ideas for the project had to be a new technology or an improvement of the current technologies..Hopefully next week we get to come up with a good ideas and we can carry on with our projects.. but at least we start to discuss and feel that different peoples have different thoughts and idea in their own minds.... It's too bad that my mind is not creative enough to come up with a good topic for the project.....
